About Lara Westdorp
Lara is a small business owner, mom, wife, and life long advocate for wild spaces, clean water, and individual rights. Having grown up in a small town surrounded by family farms, much like her grandparents farm, she and her husband Andrew chose Frederick County to raise their family.
Lara has consistently been involved in the Frederick County community from sitting on local and state boards and commissions, assisting with local campaigns, to traffic mitigation efforts in her neighborhood.

Why Vote for Lara?
As a veteran of over 30 years of public service, Lara is a fiscal conservative who has worked to safeguard taxpayer money and believes that government, at all levels, should be open and transparent to all citizens.
Lara has worked at all levels of government - county, state, and federal - as an employee, volunteer, and community advocate. This provided the unique opportunity to work for and with officials on both sides of the political spectrum.
In 2019, Lara stepped down as Chief of Staff to Senator Ron Young, where she drafted and coordinated legislation as well as managed staff in problem-solving citizen issues. After completing additional training, she opened her own business, Frederick Reflexology, to provide nationally certified reflexology to the Frederick community. In addition, Lara currently serves as the President and CEO of the non-profit national reflexology certifying body - The American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB).
